
PSPC Sponsors PETA’s “Tagu-taguan, Nasaan ang Buwan?”
The Philippine Society of Pediatric Society under the leadership of Dr. Maria Corazon Estevanez had a fund-raising activity by sponsoring PETA’s much-acclaimed children’s play “Tagu-taguan, Nasaan and Buwan?” held at the PETA Theater last August 27, 2017 (Saturday).
The play is PETA’s newest children’s production as it celebrates its 50th year of existence. It tells the story of a young boy named Jepoy (Omar Uddin), his father Popoy (John Moran) and his grandmother Lola Luna ( Joann Co). Jepoy embarks on an adventure in the magical land Saysay Lupalop which was cursed into Dilim-dilim land, to find the imprisoned stories in a dark realm fear and forgetfulness guardedly the evil monster Pawpaw Halimaw. In his adventure he meets Ngo (Roi Calilong), Princess Mina (Joan Bugcat) , the Little Match Girl (Teetin Villanueva), Ismail and Isabel (Angelo Lantaco and Raven Relavo), Pepe and Pepito (Lemuel Sylvester and Norbs Portales). As Jepoy goes deeper into his quest, he discovers the power of imagination and creativity and deepens his understanding of love, friendship and courage. The play centers on the importance of storytelling in constructing children’s personality and individuality.
The PSPC members came with their family and friends to support the event which was full-packed. Everybody came out of the theater happy and entertained. As Dr. Connie Sison said : “Definitely worth watching! Galing ng Pinoy!”
